On December 14, 2019, Chapel Hill-Carrboro Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. celebrated 40 years of service to the Chatham and Orange counties during an anniversary brunch at the UNC Friday Center.
Over 200 enjoyed a brunch at the UNC-Chapel Hill Friday Center as awards were given to Regional Director Juanita Massenburg and Mr. Nate Davis, music by Yolanda W. Rabun and emcee was Volanda Calloway. Guest speaker was NC Senator Erica D. Smith. Special guest included past Regional Director Dr. Norma Sermon Boyd and charter members of the chapter.
A special thanks to the 40th Anniversary Committee members and Chair, R. Lorraine Coleman for planning such a successful event, along with Alicia Smith-Freshwater who serves as chapter president.
